Yep it’s finally here… We’d like to wish all our users a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2009!

The PlayUnfair.com online community free network (onefaceone.com, trailerparkfriends.com, prettydirtyfriends.com) has grown substantially over the past year to 131,000+ users.

There have been a lot of changes in 2008, with redesigns and extra features on the original online community with an attitude, onefaceone.com (pimp, steal respect, and bitch slapping) and the addition of 2 online communities - trailerparkfriends.com and prettydirtyfriends.com.

We’re busy working on adding exciting features to the 3 communities, our friendly 2 Facebook applications…. iPhone applications that link to our network, and internet radio.

Thanks for the support. We look forward to a tramp stamping, kicking you to the curb and stealing your food stamps in 2009. lol

Total Users on onefaceone.com is 138,888 as of December 13, 2008

We added a Christmas background to all the sites to welcome the holiday season. We’ve made performance improvements on load time, and are planning another traffic campaign next week.

I’ve returned to Canada (still travelling), after living for just over a year in London, England. Our users can expect the site to improve over the coming year too, and have more friends to interact with on the sites.

We’re also considering adding an Internet radio station to onefaceone.com, and are reviewing our options. Reviewing potential partners, or custom software.

We’ll be promoting our unique communities and our Facebook applications in the coming months. We’re building momentum and gaining new users every day. In addition to our hard core users, who already know how to introduce themselves on onefaceone.com.

The sites slow down considerably when there are x number of users online and especially during the signup process. I’ve requested that our programmer set up a benchmark test to gauge performance improvments.

New domain is now onefaceone.com NOT 1face1

We had a bit of bad luck when someone (who will remain unnamed) forgot to renew the old domain for our flagship hip hop community. I had to do some very quick damage control to keep the site up and working on the new domain onefaceone.com.

You’re usually suppose to get a notification when a domain expires, but from our experience don’t count on it - lock that domain up if it’s important to your business.

I coordinated all the changes in programming, graphic designs, and managed the work of all our remote contractors, to have the site up and running within one day. This included reserving the new domain names and locking them for onefaceone.com and 1face1.net.

It was very challenging project that we had to overcome with late hours, and testing.

We did mange to keep most of the traffic, however our seo initiatives which we’ve had for over 6 months will be affected. Every instance of the old domain name on our sites, blogs, graphic designs, business cards, advertising had to be changed.

This will be the last time.
